Letter to the Past

- instructive ideas for success in classes (Creative Photo)
- Photo taking tips, class time use, ideas
- Include 1 sample (how it fulfilled, what it took, and what i would do differently)

Dear past self,

You are going to be pretty pleased with where you are at in the future, but don't forget that you still have a long way to go before your life is fulfilling. You still have to get your license, take time to clean your room, and you've yet to make time to sit down and read that book (The Witcher). Do NOT slack in math, but aside from that keep going steady. Specific to Creative Photography, make sure to actually take time and effort in the projects, because it can be fun if you make it fun. Also, don't hesitate to experiment on your own (try that paint and milk thing, set up your GoPro). Set reminders when things are due. When it comes to taking photos, try to get optimum lighting and angles, as well as try to use an actual camera once in a while. Photoshop is a tool, use it. Even for personal projects. You know u like working with paints, so don't be afraid to get a white tarp out and get messy. Below is an example of photography. The focus differentiates and the color is vibrant and strong. It took many tries to get, but next time try to get the picture from a more upward angle.

Be you soon

What Art? 1

Part I

1) Describe the mood of the image(s)  What is the expression on the faces of the models?  What is their posture?
The mood of these images is. The expression on the first woman's face is cognitive, almost in a somber manner, and demonstrates neither shyness or overconfidence. The second woman parallels this profound state, but also adds a component of 'naked truth' because no clothes are visible.
(a simple statement; "I am here.")

2) Think about technique.  How do you imagine these images were created? Oil paint? Photoshop?
If I were to take a gander, I think the technique is rather favorable to impasto leanings (paint laid on surface in thick layers) and involve canvas with paints or painted human subjects. The colors are more solid and less smooth in composition.
(layers of color and paint = the layers of a human being.)

3) Ask yourself what role color plays in the images(?)  Does it accentuate the mood?
Color not only accentuates the structure of the subject, but also provokes the idea that humans are imperfect and complicated.
(layers of color and paint = the layers of a human being.)

4) Finally, what do you think the artist intended to convey with these images?  What response was he/she attempting to evoke?  Do you think the effort was successful?
I think the artist intended to convey a sense of the human condition by emphasizing the imperfections and stature of human beings, while also including the visualization that the subject is the whole of various factors. It's not particularly happy or timid.
